Bruce Costello - Nov 18, 2006 7:22 pm (#2011 Total: 2013) "God loves drunks, sailors, and the United States of America" - old folk saying Marshalls Campaign Scenario - Operation Flintlock, 1944 As I said a few weeks ago, I have a new scenario, on the Marshalls Campaign. This was an important offensive for the U.S. as it represents the Central Pacific main thrust coming together in a very well coordinated fashion and it was the capturing of the area for the first major forward operating base for that offensive. The Japanese had suffered such losses in the Rabaul campaigns that they held back from committing significant naval, though they might have. There was significant land airpower available, but the U.S. offensive precluded much of that from coming into play. Players should note that this scenario has not been properly playtested. While the OB is pretty good, I invite comments and suggestions from any who play this. This scenario is heavily weighted in favor of the U.S., as was the historical situation. Anyone who plays Japan and wins a victory has bragging rights!
