AETO Additional Rules -Night Bombing incapability: Ju-87 and Hs-129 cannot make Night Strategic Bombing. Night Strategic Bombing of Enemy Non-Home Targets (occupied territory) and Night Strategic Bombing of the Soviet Union suffer -1 DRM. -Heavy Bombers: Lancaster, Stirling, Halifax, Whitley, B-17, B-24, Pe-8, He-177 Heavy Bombers used in a ground support have their strength halved, minus one (1/2 -1). All Heavy Bombers (included damaged) that do not have printed Bomber Return Fire rating are assumed to have that rating of 0. -Ground Attack Aircraft: Typhoon, Tempest, A-20, A-26, Il-2, Ju-87, Hs-129 If at least 50% of Ground Support Aircraft units (chits) used by one side in a ground combat are Ground Attack Aircraft that side gains + - 1 DRM in its favor for that land combat. Exception: Soviet Union units in combat need to have at least 75% Ground Attack Aircraft units (chits) of all Ground Support air units involved to get + - 1 DRM. -Night Fighters: Me-110, Ju-88, He-219, Mosquito FB, Beaufighter; P-61 Anytime from 1942 German and/or UK player may proclaim usage of Night Fighters. From then on, that nation may try to intercept enemy night strategic bombers with its own night fighters, but all anti-aircraft hits on the 2-5 column of the Bombing table are always normal, never doubled, or tripled. German Night Interception Operational Conditions: For each enemy night air raid that German player wishes to intercept with Night Fighters, German player DR (D6) to check for Night Interception Operational Conditions; If DR is 1-5 then each night fighter (within 4 hexes of raiders) may intercept if DR (D8) is 1-3 Interception successful – commence attack. After the first round again DR 1-3 is needed to attack second round. If DR for Night Interception Operational Conditions is 6 (perfect conditions), then each night fighter may successfully intercept if DR (D8) is 1-5; and for the second round also DR 1-5 is needed. Only German player may DR for night fighters’ operational conditions. Allied Night Fighters always successfully intercept if DR (D8) is 1-3. Escorting Allied Night Fighters also have to DR (D8) 1-3 to attack German intercepting Night Fighters; Allied Escorting Night Fighters, however do not receive air combat +1 strength Escorting Modifier. Heavy bombers, if hit, may return fire but hit the night fighter only if DR (D6) is 6. -Window ECM: At the start of the game UK player receives one “Window ECM” chit, which he may use once, anytime during the game. In monthly turn when Window is used, all German Night Fighters Interceptions are automatically fail/unsuccessful. In the first following (monthly) turn German player may not check for Night Intercepting Operational Conditions and each Night Fighter interception attempt is successful only if (D8) DR=1. In the second following turn German player may not check for Night Intercepting Operational Conditions and each Night Fighter interception attempt is successful only if (D8) DR=1-2. In the third following turn German player may not check for Night Intercepting Operational Conditions and each Night Fighter interception attempt is successful if (D8) DR=1-3. From the fourth turn from usage of “Window ECM” all its effects are cancelled. -Additional Aircraft units: He-177 8-22[1] (4-22 back) x2; when first unit 5-9 is in play, German player may try to improve it; Each season if spend 1 EP in improvement may DR; First need to DR 5-6 (improvement going half way); Then DR 6 (improvement complete); Replace both 5-9 with 8-22[1]. V-2: Two V-2 Arrive Winter 1945, Two Force Pool 1945. -Free Unit Entitlements: Currently most expensive unit(s) in the Force Pool cannot be chosen/taken for free. -Danzig: After the German conquest of Poland, Danzig and its hex becomes German city for all purposes. -Waffen SS: Any German ground attack with at least one participating SS unit may Round-Off combat odds to the nearest whole-number. (36 to 10 is 4:1). Whenever any SS unit is attacking or defending DR (D8) for SS commitment for each participated SS unit in combat. If DR 1-3 apply + - 1 DR in favor of stack with SS unit. If stack of two SS units with a SS general participate in a combat there is automatic + -1. -Interdiction of German Iron Ore Route: Condition 1 change – Germany suffer a loss of EPs equal to 4 (D6) dice as long as Sweden is unconquered Axis-enemy, no matter of the control of Galivare resource hexes. -Axis Air Interdiction of Convoy Routes: Ignore the * result; Bomber is hit only if a result of attack (with 2 dice) is 2. Each Convoy Escort Duty value of 10 increase the possibility of hitting the Axis bomber by 1. -Royal Navy Advantage: Whenever UK surface warships successfully intercept Italian warships, UK player DR (D8); If DR 1-3 UK surprise attack occurs. DR (D6) and that number of UK warship chits (UK player choice) may fire first during the Naval Combat Gunnery sub-round, as if they have the (temporally) highest gunnery rating. -Activation of Greece: From Summer 1941 UK player may spend 1 EP each Season and try to activate Greece. DR (D6) 1 activates Greece. -Eliminated units return to Force Pool: Eliminated units during each monthly turn are to be placed at “Current Season Eliminated Units Pool”. At the end of the Season, DR for all eliminated units to check for Force Pool Delay. For each eliminated unit DR (1-6): 1 return for next Season, 2-3 return in 2 Seasons, 4-5 return in 3 Seasons, 6 return in 4 Seasons. DRMs: Soviet Inf/Cav/Mnt/Sib units -2; SS units -1; Eliminated while OoS +1; Air units -1, Commando units -1; Minor Nations’ units -1 Replenishment: Each nation capable of Replenishment may Automatically Replenish units taking them from the Current Season Eliminated Units Pool. (HQs, ATPs, STPs, Rocket Sites are always available for next Season’s Rebuilding) -Generals: they may be brought to map from reserve (GHQ) one for every 3 maximum stacked land hexes.
