GAME SCALE:
Each hex on the map represents 5 kilometers of land. Each brigade-sized unit represents 2000 to 4000 men.

MINI-REVIEW:
El Alamein comes with little chrome. What special rules it has are familiar to most wargamers. Locking Zones of Controls but a single unit can hold the way open for friendly units to leave. Road Mode allows movement x5. Stacking and unstacking costs three Movement Points. That is a rule that should be used in most Bulge games. Enemy minefields slow you down and friendly minefields double your defense. Engineers can clear minefields and help attacking enemy units in minefields. Supply units can provide supply within a certain number of hexes and a unit can be isolated and disappear a turn later. There are three scenarios: July, September (Alam Halfa) and October with an optional rule for free set-up on the last two. A scenario variation chart is included to keep the game alive.
