I liked the quad style games and I like being able to play them against a wide variety of opponents. I usually play a turn a day at least, and often two or three turns a day. I'm currently playing in 18 games. If both players are online, play can be almost real-time. (Hexwar.com is not a "real-time" service. Turns our played locally and the results uploaded to the Hexwar.com servers. Your opponent downloads the turn and plays his response and the cycle repeats. The games use AI to handle retreats and FPF decisions so that each turn requires only one exchange of turns.) Expense is in the eye of the beholder of course, but Hexwar is less expensive than other subscription based services (Netflix comes to mind) and I feel I get as much or more value from Hexwar.com as I do from Netflix (to give just one example.) There are currently nine titles available to play with as many more in development. The next title to see the light of day will most likely be Arnhem (a game I've been waiting to play since I first heard about Hexwar.com). Arnhem should be up for play in a mid-September time frame (from what subscribers have been told). The Napoleon at Waterloo game is "free" at Hexwar.com (Shades of the SPI days!) A paid subscription is not required to play NAW. In addition to the Quad games, Hexwar.com has also plans to bring "France '40" style games to Hexwar.com. No date has been mentioned for when the France '40 game system games will be available but plans are to branch out beyond just the quad type games. In case it's not obvious yet, I'm a big fan of Hexwar.com! -- Kimbo Admitted Hexwar.com evangalist.
