Hi. I put together this file that could help owners of the 1st ed. of Blackbeard... ciao, SThanks to Rick Heli, I can clarify some points regarding the 1st edition of AH's Blackbeard... You can tell your edition from the rulebook (look in the upper right corner to see if it's marked "2nd ed" or from the map (look for the line separating seas as noted below) ciao, S ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > > I have a 1st edition of Avalon Hill's Blackbeard. The line starts at the east coast of Florida, the hexside between G15 and H15 to be exact. From there it continues east matching exactly the demarcation between coastal and deep water, which should be clear I think until you get to Martinique. The last hexside which follows this pattern is the hexside between BB18 (Martinique) and CC18. From there, the line goes as follows: CC18:CC19 CC19:DD18 DD18:DD19 end As for shipping lanes, they are the same nationality as the closest port. Here are some which may be in doubt: 25:Spanish 31:British 32:Spanish 35:Spanish 46:Dutch 51:British 61:British 62:Dutch 63:Portuguese 64:French 65:French 66:French > Thanks, that answered every one of the shipping lanes in question except > #14 -- 5 hexes from Charleston (British) and St. Augustine (Spanish). > British.
