Manuel Mignot - Nov 13, 2006 11:23 am (#4682 Total: 4684) some questions for Kim Kanger Sorry for my bad english but i have some questions about “Tonkin 1950-1954” Operation phase: Each side can spend only one DR by operation phase (except : building trenchs) right or wrong? Points of victory: The french lose 1 VP per lost bataillon when it’s not at 3 hex from a CEF unit. OK but… 1)Does the French lose one VP for the destruction of a Laotian Bataillon (unit with one step)? 2) building BCL need 4 points if it is destroyed definitively or 2 points (because units with 1 step)? 3) Same question if it is destroyed temporarily 4) The destruction of Laotian bataillons, thai bataillon or GCMA have the same importance for the VP than destruction of French bataillon? Trenchs: When a unit with trench leave voluntarily, the marker disappears. What happens if the unit must leave after fight and the winner occupes the hex? Thanks for the answers… Kim Kanger - Nov 13, 2006 5:06 pm (#4683 Total: 4684) Manuel, Yes, you only can only spend one DR during each operation phase (except when you pay with a DR to build trenches). 1) & 4) The French player loose 1 VP if the units dies permanently and that includes all units (also the Laotians, Thai and GCMA). 2) & 3) Permanent dead BCL will cost 4 points to rebuild (temporarily dead will cost 2 points). Even though a BCL only have one step it is still a batallion which means 2-4 points to rebuild it. Having just one step is a sign of low combat fitness. A trench will disappear if an enemy enters it. If you have any more questions, please ask. Kim Kanger - Dec 16, 2006 8:46 am (#4744 Total: 4745) I want to clarify rule 3.4 in Tonkin. There it says that VM receives equipment replacements by inflicting step losses to the French and making them retreat. Naturally, this also applies to attacking garrisons. If VM kills a garrison and advances into the urban area, he will then also recieve equipment replacement (there is no difference).
