IDF ERRATA

                              By

                        Alan R. Arvold

The following errata was originally published in the

Boardgamer Magazine Vol.7, #3. It has since been updated with

some new additions. This errata should be considered to be

unofficial until approved by the game designer Jim Day.

Rule 1.2.1 Combat Units: second sentence should read - Israeli

units are light blue and the Arab units are green.

Rule 1.2.3 Artillery Markers: second sentence should read -

Israeli markers are light blue and Arab markers are green and are

on opposite sides of the same markers.

Rule 4.5.1 A spotted (MOVED) marker example: sentence above

example should read - This Centurion unit is marked to show it

can be spotted because it moved.

Rule 14.4.1 Finding the GP Factor: second sentence - The word

unhit should be unit.

Rule 20.1.3.3.1.3 Dropped Weapon Example: Second Sentence - The

term F-111 should be F-4E.

Standard Scenario Two:

Match Up 2 - Attacking Side

Israelis have a point total of 772 points, not 768 as printed.

Standard Scenario Three:

Match up 2 - Victory Conditions:

Second sentence should read as follows: To win, one side must

have 80 or more victory points than the other side.

Standard Scenario Four:

Match Up 2 - In the first sentence replace the word Syrian with

Egyptian.

Attacking Side - Egyptians have a point total of 952 points, not

1103 as printed. Alternately the Egyptian player could add an

(Att) 8th Motorized Infantry Platoon which would be identical to

the 4th. The point total for the Egyptians would then be 1103 as

printed.

Historical Scenario One:

C. Opposing Forces - Israeli 7th Armored Brigade

6th Armored Infantry Platoon: 1 x 2 Squad Standard Infantry

(ISR-6A) should read 1 x 1/2 Squad Standard Infantry (ISR-6A)

Historical Scenario Two:

C. Opposing Forces - Attacking Force

Air Expansion adds 334 points, not 262. (The original total is

for a Crack Air Assault Platoon without "Squad Plus". The new

total reflects a Crack Air Assault Platoon with "Squad Plus".)

Defending Side

The correct point totals should read - 1430 points (Ground

Expansion adds 317 points, Air Expansion adds 291 points). Note

that these new totals do not change the point values on the

Counter Attack Point Adjustment Chart in Section B.

There is no missing 12th Platoon in the Defending Side. (A unit

sequence numbering error that was not caught before the rule book

was printed.)

Historical Scenario Four:

C. Opposing Forces - Attacking Force

Air Expansion sentance should have a black triangle after the

word Expansion.

4th Armored Infantry Platoon: CO with 2 Squad should read CO with

1/2 Squad. 1 x 2 Squad Standard Infantry (ISR-6A) should read 1 x

1/2 Squad Standard Infantry (ISR-6A).

5th Armored Infantry Platoon: CO with 2 Squad should read CO with

1/2 Squad. 1 x 2 Squad Standard Infantry (ISR-6A) should read 1 x

1/2 Squad Standard Infantry (ISR-6A).

Historical Scenario Five:

C. Opposing Forces - Attacking Force

Air Expansion sentence should have a black triangle after the

word Expansion.

B Tank Company - Extra Equipment should be 4 x mineplows, not 3.

D. Victory Conditions: Hill 8J4 contains the following hexes:

8J4, 8J5, 8K5, and 8K6. To win, one side must have 160/210/245 or

more points than the other side.

Historical Scenario Six:

C. Opposing Forces

Attacking Force has a basic point total of 1680 points, not 1496.

Defending Force has a basic point total of 1032 points, not 1044.

Historical Scenario Seven:

Attacking Force - Ground Expansion adds 428 points, not 429.

Historical Scenario Eight:

Attacking Force has a basic point total of 2011 points, not 1989.

Attacking Force - The 13th Ground Attack Flight (-) should be the

14th Ground Attack Flight.

Tank counters are correct though.

Data Card ARB-11A: The Unit Counter illustration for the Saracen

APC and AOP vehicles should be the Saracen, not the Saladin
