Gary Robinson - 07:36pm Feb 17, 1998 PST (#1737 of 1766) Gary's Wargaming Web Page: http://www.concentric.net/~wiggler/ Here are some NATO, Nukes & Nazis clarifications based on questions I had which Joe Miranda answered: 1. No Victory Point adjustments should be made for use with variants from Command (such as The Luftwaffe Strikes). 2. Air Assault Supply Units - these units are in supply, and can supply other units, even if they are cut off by enemy units, if they are within 10 hexes of a friendly city. Thus they can "fly supply over the enemy's heads" but only to a range of 10 hexes. 3. Territorial infantry ("always in supply") which are subject to Interdiction ("out of supply") are considered out of supply. 4. If a unit starts the turn in an airfield and is supplied by Air Supply, it remains in supply the entire turn even if it leaves the airfield. 5. Interdiction is against the unit, not the hex, so an interdicted unit remains out of supply even if it leaves the hex, and other units do not have their supply affected if they enter an interdicted hex. 6. A "combat unit" under 13.6.3 is any unit with an attack-defense-movement factor. As a result, the US Airborne Brigade in Italy and the British units in Northern Ireland start the game out of supply unless Air Supplied. 7. Under Rule 19.5, "all numerical results are reduced by 1" does not apply to NATO losses, just Flying Wing losses. 8. Rule 10.7 is misprinted - only air units in the hex being attacked can give defensive air support. It can NOT be given from adjacent hexes. 9. As an aside, the rule in Samurai Sunset about Japanese reinforcements based on having "5-6 cities not bombed out" is for historical interest only - in every scenario there are already enough cities bombed out that this could never happen (except the Triumph of the Will variant).
