Simply I have no time to play any of "monsters" like A3R or WiF. Even Krieg! lasts too long for my time schedule. Unfortunately when I was ready to purchase backissues of "General" with articles AH went down. However I managed to get errata. If you're interested I can send them to you. >1. Can ASW points fire on UBoats that fire on strength points being sent >from US via Transatlantic shipping? Allied player fires his ASW durng Axis strategic phase before any U-boats can fire. of course Allied player may fire only once. >Do UBoats get to fire on amphibious invasions originating in the US? No. U-boats may fire only against Allied production and transatlantic movement of strength points. >2. Can a player launch amphibious invasions through a sea in which they >can't trace supply? Yes. >For example, as the Allies I lost control of Gibraltar which prevents supply >from being traced through the Mediterranean Sea. > Can I still launch an amphibious assault on Italy? Only if amphibious sea route does not pass through Gibraltar. So, you may launch an amphibiousnvasion from US via Suez. >3. Can amphibious invasions cross through more than one sea/ocean? Yes, providing that "transfer" hexes are under your control. >For example, could an invasion originate in the US or Britain that lands in >Italy? I know logistically it would be hard, but this IS a game. Yes, providing that either Gbraltar is Allied controlled, or British Africa box and Suez are both Allied controlled. Now, the questions of my own: 1. Coastal air force is available if there is no invader friendly hex adjacent to invasion hex. Invader's tac air may participate in amphibious assault if it is adjacent ot invasion hex. Yet, the rules say that coastal air may fight against invader's tac air. 2. What is the cost of amphbious SP inbasic game. In rules it is six. On map 5. BTW, how do you conduct opening German turn in campaign game? I found Allies too strong both militarily 8two 7 SP forts) and economically. Also, there are some things that I think should bechanged/adjusted. 1. Poland should be considered as Allied territory from the beginning of the game 2. Syria/Lebanon should get the same neutral status following the fall of France like French North Africa. 3. Russian Winter rule has no sense. Winter shold affect advancing not firepower. 4. Amphibious invasions against hexes in Atlantic and Baltic should be forbidden during Winter turns 5. Only supply sources in home countries should be valid. Now it is possible for army to capture production hex inthe middleof Russia completely cut off from Germany and survive indefinitely.
