Feedback results: Phoenix 6 During the period February/March 1977 you rated SPUK service at 6.82, an improvement of .23 on the previous two months trading. 31.65% said the service was getting better and 61.47% said it was steady. Customer service got a rating of 6.39 with 31.25% saying that this side of our operation was improving and 62.5% saying that it was steady. The non-SPI games feedbacked were again given a vote of no confidence. The top rating was for "Fortress Rhodesia" which got 3.39, not a particularly high figure and certainly not one that would encourage me to stock the game when our capital can be better spent elsewhere. Of those who sent in the Feedback Card for Phoenix 6 only 46% had also sent in the card for Issue 5. If this trend continues to show in future issues it will go a long way to explaining apparent anomalies that keep cropping up in your answers. It also will mean that the feedback net is being spread wide and that any conclusions we draw from feedback results will not be influenced by the exact same people all the time. Needless to say this is a good thing since we do want to try to 'please most of the people most of the time'. The answers on Minuteman quality were not collated since we did not print that game in the UK due to the production problems that we were having at that time with counter sheets. To the question 'Would you subscribe to Phoenix' 81.2% said Yes, 27.51% on merit and 46.73% on merit and desire to support a UK magazine. Whilst the 'Yeses' have dropped from Issue 5 we can be encouraged by what is still a very high figure when bearing in mind the lack of continuity of feedback returns. The overall rating of Issue 6 was 6.5 against 6.28 for Issue 5. 53.5% felt Issue 6 was better than Issue 5 and 37.45% considered it to be on a par. 30% of the cards returned indicated an intention to submit articles with a further 9.2% being don't knows, 43.2% would like to have a European 'for your eyes only' section in each issue, 34.9% occasion ally and 21.6% not at all. The following chart gives details of the period preferences indicated by you: (1) World War II 24% (2) Contemporary 18.8% (3) Science Fiction 14% (4) 19th Century 12.4% (5) Ancient 11.12% (6) Medieval 5.6% (7) Pre 19th Century 5.2% (8) World War I 4.4% (9) No Preference 4.4% I don't think that these figures contain any surprises, certainly they tie in with the trend in our game sales.
