Optional Movement Rule for Two Players This rule will make a two player game much more interesting;also this rule will most likely cause the game to end quickly a number of times. For the game to play longer it is suggested you use optional rules>"Automatic Reinforcements cards" and Tough Ships" (always use in all games, 2 and more players>"Optional Critical Hits");also "Dud and Confusion" cards are used in this game. : Discard Rule (at start) discard 12 cards : All squadrons at start are considered at medium range to each other. : Squadrons can be at close, medium, or long range to eachother. : You can play any REACTION CARD as a movement card, but no other card can be played when movement is done in this turn. : The squadron that the moving card was played against can use a reaction card to counter move to the enemy. NOTE : When a reaction card is played as a movement card, just put the reaction card in the discard pile, and state it it is being used as a movement card. : When moving into close range to the enemy squadron, take one of you ships in the squadron and point the bow toward the enemy squadron. : When moving away to long range from the enemy squadron, take one of your of your ships in the squadron and point the stern toward the enemy squadron. >>>>>FIRE TABLE Close range = x 2 all hits Medium range = normal Long Range= 1/2 all hits (round down, 1 is always 1) NOTE : All critical hits at this range (bridge and fire) roll dice, on a 61+ an explosion has occurred (due to plunging fire) and ship is sunk. >>>>>RANGE TABLE You move to close range Enemy moves to close range = Close Range You move to long range Enemy moves to long range = Long Range NOTE : After three turns in a row that your squadron is at Long Range you have the opiton to break off battle and end the game = then count victory points. You move to close range Enemy moves to long range = Medium Range You move to long range Enemy stays at medium range = Long Range You move to close range Enemy stays at medium range = Close Range You move to close range Enemy stays at long range = Medium Range --------and so forth : : : : Submitted by : Tyrone Newby Return to Email address : tnewby@ciaccess.com
