Description: [DESIGN]BattleSpace: Fox-class corvette Hello, R.G.B.! Well, here's my interpretation of FASA's Fox-class corvette, a Federated Commonwealth corvette design from their BattleSpace game. For those of you who aren't in the know, here's a little background. FASA's BattleSpace game is a part of their long-running BattleTech game. While BattleTech deals with ground-based battles between 20-40 foot tall robots (check out rec.games.mecha for more on BT), BattleSpace deals with large hyperspace-capable JumpShips and their more heavily armed and armored cousins, the WarShips. Both ship types use a similar type of hyperspace drive, called the Kearny-Fuchida Drive, named after the two men who first described the theoretical physics that make the KF Drive feasable. Anyways, here's the Fox. The Dunk dunk@hardy.u.washington.edu Description: [DESIGN]St. Petersburg-class battleship Hello, R.G.B.! Here is a contrasting design to my Fox-class corvette, While the Fox was designed as a light anti-starfighter ship with raider capability, the St. Petersburg is intended as a front-line planetary assault and command ship. It's main strengths lies in it's massed heavy guns and 8 dropship docking rings. The St. Petersburg is designed to lead an assault force into a hostile system, bash it's way through the defending forces, and get it's dropships on the ground.
