So I propose the following variant. enables players to ally to attack a city or tokens. If two players join tokens of another player, then tokens of the two players are removed as if they were one player against one player, each of these players removing a token at its turn starting with the player with less tokens. For instance if Crete and Africa attack Egypt whith 2 + 3 tokens against 4 tokens, then it goes like this: Crete Africa Egypt 2 3 4 2 3 3 -> Egypt loses one 1 3 3 -> Crete loses one 1 3 2 -> Egypt loses one 1 2 2 -> Africa loses one 1 2 1 -> Egypt loses one 0 2 1 -> Crete loses one 0 2 0 -> Egypt loses one at the end if the two players have tokens in the same area, they may decide to share the area, or to continue fighting. When attacking cities, the players with the more tokens in the area at the end of fight may pillage the city and draw a commodity card. This way it is easier to attack cities, but allies do not get any reward, thus are not very likely, although still possible to attack the leader. Any comments ?
