Jon, sorry for the delay, but my local server has been down for the past two days (added to the fact that I can't figure out how this silly Netscape thingie works- how do you edit mail you've already created?). Here is the quickie BOB review you requested. You can also get a feel for it in PAPER WARS #15(?), where the 1st Edition received a favorable review. No problem. BASTOGNE OR BUST is a regimental treatment of the Bulge with some smaller units, and a few brigades. Divisional assets are incorporated into HQ units which can provide divisional integrity combat bonuses. One map, 600 counters. No step reduction (the Bulge happened to fast for meaningful replacements, I feel). This was a deliberate choice on my part. I felt that when units (even big ones) go bye-bye it reflects all the friction cumulation you can dream up. So unlike the current wave of step-reduction, I feel one sided counters for the Bulge are fine. The game system is designed to run smoothly (this a game first, thank you). For example, there are no weather rules- I have abstracted them into the air unit availability rules. There are no traffic jam rules- just trying to get everybody where you want them when you want them is frustration enough. Stacking points. Usual Bulge stuff. Unusual includes an Off Board Movement Chart (I hate games where units "exit off the map" into the Twilight Zone!), and a Von der Hydte unit that ALWAYS gets on the board! And my stock personal endorsement- after working on BOB for 5 years, I still look forward to playing it! P.S. There are TWO player aid cards in every box- you're welcome. BOB can be had from Terran Games, P.O. Box 743, Newark, CA 94560 for $30 or at your favorite store (I hope). *whew* How was that? Just Chester
