(No)" No. They benefit from the wall (if firing thru it while adjacent); they are not hurt by its presence. "British soldiers on the Mealie Bag Pike would be +1 for the mealie bag but -2 when firing across the peremiter wall? (Yes)" I assume you mean "pile' . . .I started lookigng for a new hiway for a second. Yes. British fire across the wall's -2 drm is only negated if the firing unit is adjacent ot the wall. By the way, perhaps i should have made it clear that teh DRM for fire across a wall applies only to targets adjacent to the wall (using it for cover). That seems to be a rather important dcescriptive omissioin, doesn't it? Amazing what you forget . . . Can a british soildier fire out of the cookhouse? (Yes) How did it get in? There are no doors? There are also no windows for firing out of. NO. Is changing facing considered "movement"? For what purpose? "the rules they have suggest you may have a macro-virus that screws with printouts..." Well, it seems that no matter what i do with the in-com,pouter copy, when it prints out, that particular space - even if I change the wording - has an over-print. Luckily it's not something that can be misunderstood . . . but it is weird, and I can't get rid of it. Oh, the references to retreats in the Shock Table should be ignored. I changed the retreat rule late in the playtesting . . . and simply forgot to remove it from the table. Sorry. It is pointed out in the "charts and tables" on page-9 for the Kraal wall and the Garden wall; "The target must be positioned directly adjacent to the wall." But the notation is omitted from the mission perimiter wall. Is changing facing considered "movement"? For what purpose? A British unit can move _or_ fire. Can a british soldier change facing and fire in the same player turn? Like the guys on the mealie bag pile. When do you use the "uphill -1" shock combat modifier? (When attacked through the "ledge"?) Thanks. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mike Galandiuk - 06:34am Sep 27, 2003 PST (#3275 of 3277) Northcoast Gamers Alliance (NGA) Cleveland, Ohio. When do you use the "uphill -1" shock combat modifier? (When attacked through the "ledge"?) Yes? One of the major Zulu problems is that the British were several feet "higher" than they were, pretty much negating the full affect of their asegai. "Can I begin a British soldier in a room (Hospital and/or Comm Store) that does not have doors (to the outside)?" If you want to waste time wall busting, be my guest . . . the lack of doors etween the rooms in the two buildings was a problem. RHB
