Gary Robinson - 10:06am Mar 21, 2000 PST (#2756 of 2782) "He baked his loaves while the oven was cold." - Herodotus, on necrophilia I have a question about Tet 68. In the original rules, Rule 9.4 said units cannot go underground/go open during the course of a retreat or advance after combat. Rule 12.4 said units can go underground during retreats. Rule 12.6 said units cannot go underground during advance after combat. So 9.4 contradicted 12.4. In the errata, 9.4 is changed to read that units can go underground/go open during retreats and advance after combat. So instead of contradicting 12.4, 9.4 now contradicts 12.6 instead. So, I have to ask: which is correct, 12.4 and 12.6, or the erratacized 9.4? It seems any guerilla or NVA regular can go underground when retreating, what is so special about a friendly popular area? Also, the Victory Conditions give the US player 2 points for each "0-4 or 0-5 unit" but Rule 10.4 says "in the standard scenario the US player never receives victory points for these [dummy units]." It seems like the rules are contradictory here. The rules went through a couple of revisions before final. It is a huge difference giving the US 2 points per dummy or 0 points per dummy, since the dummies come back over and over.
