From: "Robert Vollman" To: grognard@grognard.com Subject: Fwd: 7 years world war FYI: Some Q&A about Seven Years World War ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: jamiranda@removed.com Date: May 4, 2006 2:15 AM Subject: RE: 7 years world war To: Robert Vollman My responses beign with JM. Joseph Miranda S&T jamiranda@removed.net A group of us here at Stratagem (http://members.shaw.ca/stratagem/) have been enjoying S&T 221: 7 Years World War recently. We have reviewed the latest rules, the errata, the Q&A and also made some educated guesses, but still have a few rules arguments to settle. Thanks in advance for your help. 1. You successfully attack London from Paris using a fleet and an army. Can you advance the army into London and leave the fleet behind to hold Paris? JM: Yes. 2. Occasionally the rules tell you to place a minor country unit in the same space as a major country unit. Is there a mandatory combat right away? If not, is there a mandatory combat during that major power's combat phase? And is there any additional restrictions on moving major power units into, out of, or through such spaces? JM: Should be right away, 3. Before making a diplomacy attempt do you have to name the target of your attempt? That is, if you want to try to align Portugal, do you have to say "Portugal" before you roll? If so, do you forfeit results where the target you named (eg: Portugal) isn't relevant (eg: looking at someone else's chits)? JM: Yes. 4. It appears as if the setup leaves us one fort marker short. Did we lose a counter, or is the setup wrong? JM: Not sure...there may be one short. Thanks for playing!
