From: Jonas Sjöberg E (ÄS/EAB) Subject: Errata for Operation Shock Troop S&T 168 Hello fellow Grognards, Just bought Operation Shock Troop S&T 168 and saw that you didn't have any errata on it on your splendid web site. By coincidence I found some errata in S&T 171. So I thought why not type it in and send it to you? Errata: 7.0 (add) Units can attack of fire across the Israeli Operational Boundary Line, but may not advance after combat across the line. 7.12/7.13 When the dominant type i Leg, the two Syrian AT/Sagger battalions (8-0-A-6 on front) do not contribute anything to attack or defense, and cannot take any losses unless all participating units with Leg strenght are eliminated first. If one or both of the battalions are alone in a hex and must use Leg strength on defense, treat the combat as an automatic 5:1 attack subject to normal column shifts. 7.81 (add) Units may not enter prohibited terrain. 7.87 (new) Minefields: Israeli units may enter active Minefield hexes only if there is no other alternative route, even one requiring overstacking and displacement. 7.9 First sentence should end: "...if all enemy units involved in a combat actually vacate the hex." 8.4 The Kuwaiti unit is considered part of the Saudi 20th brigade (20x) for all game purposes, including spotting for Barrage attacks. 9.2 (add) Follow the Retreat From Combat rules (7.8) for retreats caused by Air Strikes. 9.3 (new) Displaced Units: Units that retreat into a hex that receives an Air Strike must suffer any results that apply to all units, and can be chosen to receive other results. 14.11 The armor battalions of the Syrian 61/5xx and 68/7xx set up according to the same instructions provided for the other units in their respective formations. 14.32 The three Iraqi 3Tk artillery units arrive on Turn 4 in Area A. Questions & Answers: Q: When determining "dominant type" for ground combat, do you worry about their size? (7.11) A: No. For simplicity's sake, the rule states "how many". For perfectionists, treat each battalion as 3 companies when calculating the dominant type. Q: Does an Israeli Self-Propelled (SP) artillery unit that has fired Support still defend at full strength during the Arab part of the turn? (7.4) A: Yes. Q: If an elite unit loses a step, is it still elite? (7.7) A: Only if it has an asterisk (*) on the weaker side. Q: Can the Arab side perform Air Strikes and Artillery Bombardment on turns 1 and 2? (14.21) A: Yes. Only movement is prohibited.
