Richard Trevino - 06:52pm Oct 22, 2002 PST (#10 of 11) "We play the game with the bravery of being out of range." Questions on the game. 1. Is an Efficiency check for a unit handled the same way as a leaders Initiative check, i.e. roll a die, add the unit's Efficiency rating, and hope this equals more than 10? 2. Upon activation of a group of units are Combat and Movement for those units handled in any particular order? Or, at the players choice? a. can a unit be attacked in several times in one activation? Or do all attackers have to combine their strengths? b. is combat mandatory? 3. Is the +1 die roll modifier for units/divisions marked with a HOLD order used only when defending against an attack? Or can such units receive the +1 when activated (after passing an Efficiency test to enter the enemy ZOC, of course)? Richard Trevino -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Roberto Chiavini - 09:46pm Oct 22, 2002 PST (#11 of 11) Hi Richard, Happy to got these questions and here are the answers: 1) Efficiency test for confederate units individual activation needs 10 or more, while other efficiency tests during combat or rally needs 8 or more to succeed. 2) The attackers need to combine their strengths (see combat example 2). Combat is mandatory only for units that have the Assault order. 3) Good question: I think that if the unit moves to retake an objective, it gets the combat bonus for Hold even if counterattacking the enemy, so the answer is yes. I assume that you are playing the game with David Smith, so give him my regards and I sincerely hope that both of you enjoy this game. Let me know Roberto
