Mark Holt Walker - Jul 10, 2008 3:39 pm (#3566 Total: 3574) "I want to die with a smile on my face." A. Myles Here they are again, compiled: Lee at Gettysburg: >1.) Are units allowed to rally in EZOC? Yes, nothing in the rules states differently. >2.) When do reinforcements enter? Movement phase? Entry hex costs 1 MP? What if the entry hex is blocked? The Movement phase would be the only phase where units could move. So, logically, yes. I don’t see how an entry hex could be realistically blocked, but if so, units may enter in an adjacent hex. >3.) Leaders provide no defensive benefit during melee, only offensive? That’s correct, but I’m open to suggestions. >4.) If a leader contributes its modifier to a fire combat, is it considered "fired", or can it still move later in the turn? No, I would consider it fired. >5.) How does disruption affect leaders? They can’t move, nor may they apply their leadership to rallying units. >6.) A unit has 3 frontal hexes but when moving can only enter the middle hex, correct? The two other frontal hexes would require a facing change to enter, yes? Correct. >7.) If 6. is coorect, then a unit can fire through all 3 frontal hexes, but only move through the middle one. How does a unit firing through, say, the right-frontal hex manage to advance after combat then? Or can the unit not advance in that case? Yes, a unit can fire through its frontal hexes. Well, fire combat never triggers retreat, so I guess you are referring to a Melee. In that case, as the rule states, the units advance into the vacated hex. >Broken... Yeah, if you say so., but there are three hexes. Two of them represent key pieces of terrain (creek crossings) that would be used in the ensuing battle, one of the them the occupation of Gettysburg. None of them are readily taken, and even if they are the possesion on one only gives a 33 percent chance of victory.
