COMPONENTS: Mapboard, Rules Folder, 72 Unit Counters GAME SYSTEMS: Hex Movement System. Mutiple CCC Combat System. VHO System with virtually limitless number of scenarios. RULE MODIFICATIONS Mapboard The unnamed port on the south coast of Sicily is Empledolce. Terrain Analysis Chart The effect of combat on a town hex is +2, (not +12). CCC 2 - The effects of die roll 7, or 8 at 2-1, or 8 at 3-1 should be 1/2 the Attacker's Combat Power destroyed (not all destroyed). Movement Rule Clarification, IV., D - Redeployment Moves occur during the initial movement segment of each Commander's turn. Combat Rule Clarification, B. 4 - If a unit(s) is forced to retreat onto a hex where violation of the Concentration rule occurs, units of an amount necessary to compile with the rules are "displaced" from the hex by the retreating units. Displaced units, in turn, are retreated and they may cause further displacements if necessary. Rule IX., A.3 - Add to 3rd paragraph, 2nd sentence - Units labelled B,D,N are making amphibious assaults. Such units are placed at sea adjacent to the enemy-held port each is assaulting. Rule IX., C. - Add - 2. German Airborne Assaults German Airborne Assaults are not subject to scattering. They may land on any hex outside of the Allied air zone except Mt. Etna, provided the Concentration rule is not violated. Conditions applicable to the AC's airborne assaults apply to the XC's airborne assaults, except as noted. Victory Rule Correction - AC's Victory Points - In the example, if the condition was fulfilled on turn 20, the AC would receive 17 VP's, (not 12). XT Naval Gunfire - Addition Naval Gunfire may never be used against Messina or any adjacent hex. It may always be used against any other coastal hex. Terrain Analysis Chart - Addition Bridges - When a road goes over a river, it is considered to be a bridge Units may move across bridges at normal road movement rate, not paying for river crossing. Units attack across bridges as in normal crossriver attack. Clarification When two or more terrain types coexist in the same hex, the worst of the two is used for movement and combat purposes. Movement and terrain combat costs are only culmulative when rivers are involved. Addition to CCC Explanation.
