I've been trying to collect errata/clarifications for the HOTW tournament at this year's WBC, and the only things I've found (except for some map clarifications) are: (1) Britain gets fleets in all 13 seas/oceans where they are entitled, even though there are only 12 fleet counters in the game (I think it was because North Atlantic Ocean was added at the last second - I guess to keep Vikings from expanding by sea too far south without too many special rules); (2) It is possible for two players to have the same VPs, total army strength, and total pre-eminence, and to play Epoch VII powers with the same strength (Russia / Germany, or Manchu / France). In my tournament rules, the AH version's "tiebreaker" is used; whichever of the players went after the other in Epoch VII (Germany or France, accordingly) is the winner. Remember, with reallocation, you have to decide in advance how many (and which) of your fleets are to be exchanged for coins, and you cannot convert them back. Other than that, I can only suggest something that usually applies to the AH version as well: "don't let the player who's ahead get Britain". ------------------------------------------- Don Del Grande, del_grande@netvista.net It's only a game...oh wait, this is "History of the World" we're talking about
