Aldous Huxley First comment after a first reading of the rules last night, I'm VERY glad that there are 'army' holding boxes, as stacks can get very big. Question: is it really the case that a baggage train can provide supply to a force up to three hexes away, or did I mis-read? Can this LOC be traced through enemy ZOC? Please check our new website at www.atomagazine.com Steven, As per Case 3.1.3 and the notes at the bottom of the TEC, the presence of a Zoon class unit within 3/2 hexes allows unlimited stacking of the Makedonian/Hellene Heavy Foot units in a hex BUT such a force is still subject to the Supply Check Table. So you can stack 'em high, but they can melt away all the same. It's probably true that this Zoon radius should not be able to be traced over physically impassible terrain, through an enemy unit, or out of a beseiged city - but there's no rule to say it can't. Phillip and the Agema are in separate but adjacent hexes. Enemy forces move adjacent to each such that, if attacked, the Agema have a retreat path but one that takes them away from Phillip. Another stack moves in and attacks the hex the Agema occupy (there are other arrow folder there), which loses and has to retreat. What happens? They die of separation anxiety, I suppose? :-) Stephen Rawling - 07:13pm Apr 17, 2002 PST (#1206 of 1208) "Against the Odds" is born - a new magazine with a game in each issue. Please check our new website at www.atomagazine.com Steven, I suppose Case 3.1.6 should be amended to say, "3.1.6 Philip and the Agema: So long as the Makedones unit titled the Agema and the leader Philip are both active, the Agema may not be voluntarily more than one hex distant from Philip at the end of the Makedonian player-turn (or as close as possible)." That should cover the force majure cases.
