Joseph Miranda - Aug 21, 2009 5:29 pm (95.) new Seems like my answers got dropped in the Consimworld reboot, so here they are again: - Garrisons: Can be posted in occupied cities captured from others players? Example: Macedonian player put a garrison in Syracuse or Rome. Yes. - Archimedes: says: "you may re-roll ONE die roll during any Operations Phase"...but for How many turns? (I've interpreted in this way: "as long Archimedes is posted in this city, only in Syracusa he can re-roll one dice roll for any attack and any defence of this city and choose the best roll of each, for 10 turns max, but he cannot use his power outside the city, if Syracuse is conquered, Archimedes died & his counter is back to the pool.) Is this correct? No. You use the counter once and then return it to the pool. But you can rr-roll the die anywhere on the map. - Hermes: If other player pays the talent for square, he had control of just one unit or the whole Force? (Example: Roman gains control of the 3 Cartaginians elephants only because Carthage lacks 2 talents) It is fair? Not fair, but it is the rule. The idea is to get players to maintain a reserve of cash to deal with real issues, such as troops demanding more pay. - Thanatos: Hannibal & his force of 3 Elephants & 3 veterans phalanx rolled a "six'. Now Hannibal is left alone for this too drastical event. Maybe you can add to the rules about this event: "...the number rolled is the number of units the affected player must eliminated UP to a MAXIMUM of HALF his FORCE.(round #s up)" You can use this as a house rule, but it does reflect the massive attrition of pre-modern armies. - But anyways, your game has more replayability capacity that others from the same topic in this competitive wargame's market. congratulations!! Thanks. The upcoming Frederick's War uses the same system.
