No problem for me, you can add all the counters you want... Just be sure not 
to unbalance the game with more units on one side
Btw, a small errata for the game...
The VIII and XX US Corps starts the game in the Strategic Reserve
and in Chapter 2, Sequence of Play, in the final phase, you can remove 
"Verification of the success of the political objective of the turn."... 
We changed the logic of the Political Events and this stayed stupidel
