Re: "Who moves first, teams/driverless chariots, or runners?" Since team, driverless chariots and runners are all considered, "corpses," they move, collectively, before all manned chariots. Within the group of corpses, they move normally, front to rear, inside to outside in the case of ties. Re: "When moving, it's clear from the rules that the chariot is in the same space as the team. Does this mean for ramming you do it from the hex the team is currently moving in (in corners), or from the hex behind the team?" First, I'm assuming by "same space" you mean the rectangular spaces, which is a correct interpretation. In the turns, the chariot and teams are in adjacent hexes. Ramming, as per Rule 6a, the ramming chariot "execute[s] a swerve into the target at the moment [it] is adjacent to it (however momentarily)." So the ram actually occurs from the hex behind the team. (I'm assuming here that you're moving just the team, leaving the chariot in the starting space, which helps count the number of spaces moved.) Re: "Is it correct that no driver injury points are placed on a driver who is knocked off his chariot?" Well, that depends. If he's knocked off his chariot as the result of a "net attack," he sustains no injuries, if he's knocked off as a result of a "whip attack," he sustains one injury. These results are from the Weapons Table and the Whip Attack Table. Glad you're enjoying the game! I don't have the rules with me, but if I remember right, you get three re-rolls when you have "Appeal to the Gods." (Seemed to me it was six re-rolls, but I could be remembering that wrong.) Re: "When riding a Team can you turn the Team or does it follow the outside wall?" You can turn the team using normal control mechanisms. Just remember to take your "falling off" roll. Let a 1 come up and you're dead. Speaking of CIRCUS MINIMUS, my final game at Syc-HomerCon this morning was CIRCUS MINIMUS. It was the bloodiest game I've ever played. By the end of the first turn, three of the four chariots were flipped, their drivers running for their lives. Paul Worthington was the only one still riding along in his War Chariot with a ton of damage. I jumped up on the median and then on to a passing team. I managed to ride the team through almost a lap before falling to my death. Matt Fehlman did the same thing. As with every game, this one was a lot of fun. Even those who wondered about the game were talking about picking it up after playing it. Cool little game. After the game ended, we drove to beautiful, downtown Sycamore and took a photo in front of the Civil War monument in front of the courthouse. Maybe there's enough material in what we did this weekend to put a write-up in OPERATIONS... Dan
