See 6.2 Ranged Combat. 2 - in a ranged artilery attack, combat results are never applied to the attacking artillery unit. See 6.5 Combat Results. Movement after combat is not movement in the movement phase and is not determined by a unit's movement allowance, but by the retreat or destrucftion of the enemy unit(s) being attacked. Any Germany unit with a movement allowance of '4' can cross the stream by beginning its turn adjacent to the stream hexside and then expending 1 movement point to enter a clear hex on the other side of the stream, paying 3 additional movement points to do so. Alternatively, the German unit(s) can go around the end of the stream on the west side of Bastogne. The road entering the map at Oberwampach is the road from Clerveaux and Wiltz. This was the historicl German route toward Bastogne.
