From: Noel Wright Subject: Errata for Byzantium & First Arab Israeli War (This errata appears in the new (186) issue of S&T) Byzantium (S&T 183) Map Addenda: The map to Byzantium went through several last minute changes and two map artists. The end result is aesthetically pleasing but a few points need to be clarified. 1. Rivers affect Operations Cost only when they form an Area boundary. (i.e. Croatia, Magyars, and others are not cut up by the rivers within.) 2. The West Peripheral Area abuts Lombardy and Croatia. (West was displaced by the charts.) 3. Rus is one Area for all game purposes. (Area connects off-map around Western Black Sea; cut up by the charts.) 4. Athens is part of Peloponnesos. (Ignore the "Corinth Canal") 5. Buda actually represents both Buda and Pest (a rose by any other name, however, is still a rose.)
