Do the seiges occur before or after field battles or whenever? In the defense of say Vienna it makes sense for the seige to occur after field battles but that is illogical for Gibraltar, any conflict there would be considered a proper seige as I understand the term, in light of the inability of Gib to protect a corps much except by extra troops. If battle comes first and the garrison is defeated/destroyed in the battle does the province fall? or does it now allow the attacker to spend a mp and try to seige. Caveat: I'm not some official guy, but I've gotten answers to some of these questions from Kevin, and I'll pass them on. The garrison participates in the land battle (either by being picked up off the map in the case of "invasion" garrisons, or via Ghost divisions in the case of printed garrisons). If the field army retreats, the victorious army drops off a new garrison (if required). So you don't have to lay siege to a province if you've just kicked its army out. Minor power units: Can they be built with money from the major power and I assume it to be correct that provinces that have minor power corps may only be used to pay for those troops, and not the home powers as well? I don't know... I believe minor power cash goes into the pot, and you can buy whatever you want with it. Kev? Is there a straights arrow between Copenhagen and the mainland? overland route to Stockholm via Finland? It's a long, arctic walk to Stockholm via Finland...through swamps and junk too, if I remember my old GDW: Arctic Front map! Any typos on the minor mat regarding startup forces. Why just Portugal? Good question... Thanks, Mike (first time in this forum but glad to have finally started using it) Good to meetcha Mike!
