From: martimer@mindspring.com (Martin W Gallo) Subject: DAK Clarifications 1. Series Rule 12.3d says Railheads are operational rail hexes. Logical and historical hobbywise. DAK rules 7.20 place a Railhead at C38.02 and then says the RR doesn't exist there. Warum? Are we about to see a change in the series rules? No, not a series rule change...more an accident of terrain---namely the location of that rail extension just south of Mersa Matruh. Rather than "inventing" an extra five miles of RR that wasn't there when the campaign began (and sitting back to see what some guy could get away with because of it), I modified the rule a little for DAK so the railhead was in the right hex, etc. 2. The TEC identifies Rocky terrain. There is none on the map. However there is lots of Gravel. I assume that they're one and the same. How about that? Yes, they are the same... Dean From: martimer@mindspring.com (Martin W Gallo) Subject: DAK:fueling questions Q. I have three stacks composed exclusively of various units of 5th light div. Two of the stacks have KG markers on them. The rules indicate that "divisions" supply normally in DAK (exclusive rule 2.2) for fueling purposes. Rule 3.10g (exclusive rules) indicate that KGs are a "parent" division for the time they are "under" the KG marker. It also states that organic trucks can supply units in KGs as long as they are all from the original division. So...with the above in mind, is it legal to fuel supply all the units in all three stacks by expending the 1sp (division fuel cost) from the organic truck? thereby fueling ALL THREE STACKS????????????? (they are all from the same division and it does say that the KG "membership" is largely an administrative concern. (supply isn't administrative is it?). A. Since all the units belong to 5th Light, you can pay for them as their parent division (which happens to have some KG markers involved) out of the organic truck (thereby fueling all three stacks with 1 SP). If some other mix of units was present, this would not be possible. The KGs do not supercede the parent division unless the player _wants_ them to. KGs exist to ease the player's burden, not make it worse! Dean
